A three-year repair and conservation programme rescued the badly damaged building and both preserved some fine features – 18th-century plasterwork and joinery – and gave it a new lease of life. The main rooms now provide generous and prestigious office space while the former servants’ wing and courtyard makes an atmospheric restaurant.
